Acid Remap LLC may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:
Acid Remap LLC may process personal information in different roles depending on the context in which the information is collected and used. In many cases, Acid Remap LLC processes personal information on behalf of a User’s employer, agency, or other Controlling Entity in order to provide the Application and related services. In those circumstances, Acid Remap LLC may act as a service provider, contractor, or processor, and the applicable employer, agency, or other Controlling Entity may be responsible for determining certain processing purposes, retention requirements, and responses to certain privacy rights requests. In other cases, Acid Remap LLC may collect and process personal information directly for its own business and operational purposes, including account administration, customer support, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, communications, product maintenance, and similar purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
We retain personal information for specified periods based on the category of personal information and the purposes for which it was collected and processed. Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law, we generally retain personal information as follows: (a) account and credentialing information for as long as the User maintains an active account and for up to seven (7) years after account closure or termination of services; (b) compliance, audit, legal, and recordkeeping information for up to seven (7) years, or longer where required by applicable law, contract, or Controlling Entity requirements; (c) customer support, complaint, and dispute resolution records for up to three (3) years after the matter is resolved; and (d) other personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. If a specific retention period is not listed for a category of personal information, we determine the retention period using objective criteria, including the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, the risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and our contractual obligations. We review retention periods periodically and update them as appropriate to comply with applicable law.
Where Acid Remap LLC processes personal information on behalf of a Controlling Entity, requests to access, correct, delete, or otherwise exercise privacy rights may need to be directed to the applicable Controlling Entity, which may be responsible for making decisions about such requests under applicable law. Acid Remap LLC may provide reasonable assistance to the Controlling Entity in responding to such requests where required by applicable law or contract.
Where Acid Remap LLC collects or processes personal information directly for its own purposes, Users may submit requests to access, correct, or delete their personal information using the contact information on www.acidremap.com, and we will review such requests in accordance with applicable law.
We may delete personal information when required by applicable law or when retention is no longer reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes described above. However, we may retain personal information where retention is reasonably necessary and proportionate, or otherwise required or permitted by applicable law, including for compliance, employer-directed recordkeeping or tracking, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, audit purposes, dispute resolution, establishment or defense of legal claims, enforcement of our agreements, or other lawful internal purposes compatible with the context in which the information was collected.
When retention is no longer required or permitted, we will delete, de-identify, or otherwise handle personal information in accordance with applicable law and our record retention practices. Where we cannot fulfill a deletion request because we process the information on behalf of a Controlling Entity or because an exception applies, we will explain that limitation to the extent required by applicable law and provide information about any rights available under applicable law, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.
